YoonA of Girls' Generation is not backing down against malicious commenters—and neither is SM Entertainment.
⚖️ SM Confirms Legal Steps Over Malicious Posts
On June 10, SM Entertainment released a statement regarding the ongoing legal action against those infringing on YoonA's rights. The agency cited fan reports through "KWANGYA 119" and internal monitoring efforts.
"We've confirmed that malicious posts involving defamation, false information, and slander about YoonA have been circulating online. We've already filed complaints and requested cooperation from investigative authorities," said the agency.
🛑 No Leniency for Coded Hate
SM made it clear that even if YoonA's name isn't explicitly used, posts using initials, abbreviations, or nicknames that clearly imply her identity will still face criminal and civil consequences.
🚫 Warning to Commenters
"We ask the public to refrain from writing or spreading malicious content about our artist," SM added. "Please be cautious to avoid becoming involved in legal trouble due to unlawful actions."
