Jang Dong-yoon Invited to BIFAN—Attending as Director, Not Actor

Actor Jang Dong-yoon is stepping behind the camera—this time, making waves as a director at the Bucheon International Fantastic Film Festival (BIFAN).

🎬 From Actor to Filmmaker

Jang's self-directed feature film Nurook has been officially invited to BIFAN, marking a significant milestone in his transition from actor to filmmaker. This is his second directorial work, following the short film Be My Ears.

🍶 A Story of Tradition, Conflict, and Reconciliation
Nurook is set in a traditional makgeolli (Korean rice wine) brewery and tells a poignant story of familial tension and emotional healing. The film explores the theme of "reconciling with the past" through layered storytelling.

🎥 Crafted with Precision

Festival insiders praised Jang's direction for its "delicate psychological depth and meticulous mise-en-scène," hinting at a film that blends emotion with visual elegance.

🎤 GV Appearance Confirmed

Jang Dong-yoon will also appear at a guest talk (GV) during the festival to share behind-the-scenes stories about the making of Nurook. The exact schedule will be announced soon.
