Shinsegae Group President Jung Yoo-kyung's daughter, Annie (Moon Seo-yoon), is officially making her K-pop debut 💫 — and she's got quite the story behind it!
In a docu-style video titled DAY 1 released by THEBLACKLABEL on June 13, the five members of the new co-ed group ALLDAY PROJECT shared how they first fell in love with the dream of becoming K-pop stars 🎤✨.
With a bright smile 😊, Annie said to her members, "I feel like we'll have so much fun together, no matter what we do." She then took us back in time:
"When I was 7, I randomly watched BIGBANG and 2NE1 sunbaenim's Lollipop MV 🎧🍭. It blew my mind! A whole new world opened up to me, and I told myself, 'I have to do what they're doing.'"
But her journey wasn't easy… especially at home 🏠💔.
"One day, I asked my mom, like I was under some kind of spell 😂, 'What would you think if I became a singer?' She just laughed and said, 'That's ridiculous.' A few years later, I got serious and said, 'I really want to be a singer,' and she said, 'Absolutely not.' That was my first heartbreak 💔 lol."
When family opposition hit its peak during high school 😖📚, Annie refused to give up.
"My mom finally made a deal — if I got into college, she'd help convince the rest of the family. From that moment on, I basically gave up sleep 💤 and focused completely on studying. And I did it! Got accepted 🎓✨. My mom was shocked. I guess she thought I was too busy dancing to actually be studying 😂."
Annie also opened up about dealing with public doubt 🥺:
"People often assume I'm not serious, so I've had to prove my sincerity even more. I wanted to show how much I reallywant this. Just getting a little closer to debut made me happy. I lived each day with all my heart 💪❤️."
FYI: Annie is the granddaughter of Shinsegae Chairwoman Lee Myung-hee and the eldest daughter of President Jung Yoo-kyung 👑. Her group, ALLDAY PROJECT, is the second group launched by THEBLACKLABEL and Teddy. With its co-ed concept and already well-known members, the group is gaining buzz 👀🔥.
