Their friendship began in 2023 when they sat next to each other on a flight to Jeju Island. During the trip, Hyori listened attentively to A's story of living with a rare disease.

In a recent vlog, YouTuber A revealed that Hyori even visited her in the hospital during a period of treatment. "She stayed with me for an hour, chatting and brightening up my day," A shared. "Even though she must've been busy, she brought light into my dull hospital life."
