BLACKPINK's Jennie Wins Lawsuit Against Man Claiming to Be Her Biological Father

Jennie of BLACKPINK has won a lawsuit against a man (referred to as Mr. A) who falsely claimed to be her biological father.

On May 9, the Goyang Branch of the Uijeongbu District Court ruled in favor of Jennie in a first trial for the "injunction to prohibit the distribution of publications" filed by her side. The defendants were Mr. A and Publisher B, who released his book.

The court stated, "There is no evidence supporting Mr. A's claim aside from his own assertions," and confirmed that Jennie's official family registry clearly lists a different person as her father.

The ruling ordered all copies of the book to be destroyed. Mr. A was also instructed to delete all posts related to Jennie from platforms such as KakaoTalk, social media, and the internet, and was banned from giving any further interviews regarding her.

Mr. A had previously published an AI-generated novel in which he claimed to be Jennie's father, mentioning her and BLACKPINK in the prologue, drawing public attention.

Jennie's side responded at the time, calling his claim entirely false and completely unrelated to Jennie. Legal representatives were appointed, and formal legal action was taken against Mr. A.
