Ju Haknyeon is leaving THE BOYZ due to personal issues. The group will continue as a ten-member team.

On the 18th, One hundred stated, "We have taken the seriousness of Ju Haknyeon's recent personal issues very seriously. After sufficient discussions with THE BOYZ, we have decided that Ju Haknyeon will leave the group."

That day, a media outlet reported that Ju Haknyeon met with former AV actress Asuka Kirara at a private bar in Tokyo this past May. It was also reported that there was physical contact between them.

Ju Haknyeon was born in 1999, while Asuka Kirara was born in 1988 — an 11-year age gap. Asuka debuted as an AV actress in 2007 and is now active as an influencer.

Ju Haknyeon has been on hiatus since June 16. The agency said, "We investigated the matter and concluded that it would be difficult for him to maintain trust as an artist."

THE BOYZ will continue as a ten-member team. "As of today, Ju Haknyeon has ended all activities with the group. This decision was inevitable to protect the members and the team."

Lastly, One Hundred added, "We will continue to support THE BOYZ so that they can carry on their activities steadily and healthily," and apologized to fans for the concern caused.

Meanwhile, Ju Haknyeon first gained public attention through Mnet's Produce 101 Season 2 in 2017 and debuted with THE BOYZ later that year.
