"The Boyz will work hard again to ensure we're not ashamed to be called by the name 'THE B'."
"We're sorry for the hurt and disappointment."
On June 18, Ju Haknyeon officially left The Boyz following controversy over his private life with a Japanese adult film actress. The group is now restructured as a 10-member team. The remaining members, except for leader Sangyeon who is currently serving in the military, shared heartfelt messages to fans on social media.
Q expressed his deep regret:
"I'm most worried about THE B. You deserve only positive energy, but we've caused pain. I'm truly sorry and heavy-hearted."
"Thank you for giving me so much love and happiness. I'll live responsibly and show you my best self."
Eric also apologized:
"I'm sincerely sorry for the recent disappointing news. I only feel deep remorse."
"I promise that the love you've given The Boyz will never feel shameful when you look back on it someday."
Younghoon reflected on their debut:
"On December 6, 2017, it felt surreal to see fans in front of us. I worked hard because I wanted to be loved, and I wanted to do even better."
He continued, "No matter what I did, you supported me. You cheered for The Boyz from anywhere. Thanks to THE B, I've been able to continue this career."
"Are you feeling tired and worn out? I'm so sorry," he added. "It hurts to think I might not see you smile. I want to lean on you, and I'll be someone you can lean on too. I love you."
He concluded, "Thinking of you being exhausted makes me feel so sorry. Still, I hope you'll stay with The Boyz. I'll repay you with even greater love—please trust us."
Jacob also apologized:
"We're sorry for making you worry and feel uneasy. We're so grateful for the love you give us—we know it's never something to take for granted."
"We've been trying to return that love with good music and frequent communication, and we'll keep doing that," he said. "I sincerely hope THE B is truly happy."
Juyeon said, "I know how confusing today must have been. I'm sorry for putting you through this. Even in the midst of it all, thank you for worrying about me and standing by me—I'm grateful and sorry."
He promised to be a steady presence: "I'll prove myself with pride, trust, and positivity so THE B never has to feel uneasy. Thank you, and I love you."
New began, "I hoped THE B wouldn't be hurt, but I worry you're struggling. I'm sorry that just loving us caused you pain."
He continued, "I'll do my best so that the people I love never have to go through dark nights again. THE B is still the reason behind my music. Thank you for finding me and staying."
Kevin also apologized: "We know how much heart it takes to support us. I'm truly sorry for causing pain with everything else going on."
He added, "We should've been a source of strength to THE B, but we haven't been lately. We'll stay focused on our music so this kind of hurt doesn't happen again."
Hyunjae expressed his inner struggle, saying, "I don't know what to say. I just want to say sorry, though I'm not sure if it'll comfort THE B, who must be exhausted."
He continued honestly, "I know many THE Bs are hurt or have already shut their hearts. I'm truly sorry. If I could turn things back, I would."
He pledged to work harder: "Every moment with THE B was sincere. I'll do my best so your hearts can feel at ease."
Sunwoo also promised growth. "I will never betray THE B's trust or my own. I'll reflect on my mistakes and strive to become better."
He added, "What hurts most is knowing THE B might doubt their own feelings for us. I'll grow and mature."
THE BOYZ debuted as a 12-member group in 2017. Hwall left in 2019 due to health issues. Following Ju Haknyeon's departure, the group will continue as 10 members.
