SUGA of BTS marked his military discharge on June 21 with a heartfelt message on Weverse, writing, "I missed you so much. Thank you for waiting, and thank you."
Greeting fans for the first time in nearly two years, he wrote, "It's been about two years. How have you all been?" He expressed deep gratitude, saying he had long awaited this day and wanted to first thank fans who waited for him.
Reflecting on his two years of service, SUGA shared that it gave him time to step back from his career and reflect. "I needed some distance from the work I've been doing for so long," he wrote.
He also addressed last year's DUI incident, saying, "I'm truly sorry for the disappointment and concern. Most of all, I regret hurting the fans. I'm also sorry to the members." He had been fined 15 million KRW for operating an electric scooter under the influence.
Ending on a hopeful note, he promised, "I'll do my best to repay the love you've given me. I love you. I'll bring good news soon."
With SUGA's return, BTS has now completed military service. The group reunited earlier this month at J-Hope's solo concert and is expected to begin work on a new album together.
