The mystery just got real. Wavve's upcoming original fantasy thriller S-Line is set to shake things up with an eerie concept and a star-studded cast.
🎬 "A cursed connection"—Unveiling the red line
On June 20, Wavve dropped the teaser trailer for S-Line, written and directed by Ahn Joo-young. The series stars Lee Soo-hyuk, Lee Da-hee, Lee Eun-sam, and Arin as they unravel the hidden truth behind the mysterious "S-Line."
The "S-Line" refers to a red line that connects individuals who've had a physical relationship—it appears above their heads, visible only to a select few. It randomly shows up regardless of time or place, upending social hierarchies and personal relationships.
👁️ Arin's character sees what others can't
The trailer begins with a chilling narration: "I've been cursed." Arin plays Hyun-heup, a girl who can see S-Lines whenever she wears glasses. Through her eyes, the audience sees crimson lines webbing out above people's heads.
🕵️ A detective pulled into the chaos
Lee Soo-hyuk stars as detective Han Ji-wook, who investigates a murder case. In the suspect's house, he's stunned to find a wall covered in red lines. His curiosity grows—and he dives deeper into the mystery of the S-Line.
🏙️ Secrets crisscross the city
Red threads stretch across the entire city. Hyun-heup begins to trace their origin. The trailer ends with a haunting phrase: "The truth you want to hide—revealed above your head."
Notably, Lee Da-hee's character, Kyujin—a homeroom teacher—has no S-Line visible above her. "For some, it's a weakness they can't hide. Others will try to exploit it," she warns.
🌐 Based on hit webtoon, already acclaimed
S-Line is adapted from a hit webtoon by Komabi, known for The Killer's Shopping List and Unresolved. The series boldly explores how people deal with their darkest truths when exposed. The show won "Best Music" in the Longform Competition at the 8th Cannes International Series Festival in April.
S-Line premieres next month on Wavve.
