Actor Jin Tae-hyun has announced a temporary departure from JTBC's reality show Divorce Retreat Camp as he prepares to undergo surgery for thyroid cancer.

On June 23, Jin shared a heartfelt letter from the Divorce Retreat Camp production team via social media. The message offered words of encouragement ahead of his surgery, saying:

🩺 Health Update: Early-Stage Thyroid Cancer

Jin had previously revealed in May that he was diagnosed with thyroid cancer during a health screening in April.

"Thankfully, it was caught at an early stage and is very small in size," he shared. "But I need to have surgery before it can spread."
