Actor Kim Soo-hyun has filed yet another lawsuit—this time accusing Gaseyeon CEO Kim Se-eui of false accusation.
⚖️ 7th Lawsuit Filed—Now for Malicious Charges
On June 23, Kim's agency Gold Medalist announced, "Kim Soo-hyun has filed an additional complaint with the Gangnam Police Station against Kim Se-eui and the family of the late Kim Sae-ron for false accusation."
🗣 Fake Audio Recording Sparks Controversy
The conflict began when Kim Se-eui held a press conference on May 7, releasing what he claimed was a recorded conversation with Kim Sae-ron. He alleged that Kim Soo-hyun and Kim Sae-ron had been "in a relationship since middle school."
The very next day, Kim Se-eui and the late actress's family filed a criminal complaint against Kim Soo-hyun, accusing him of violating child protection laws and alleging sexual misconduct toward Kim Sae-ron during her middle school years.
🔍 Kim Soo-hyun Responds: "The Recording Is Fake"
Kim's side strongly refuted the claims, stating that the recording was fabricated.
"Kim Se-eui and the family used a forged audio file as evidence to file a criminal complaint. This constitutes a clear case of false accusation," the agency stated.
📂 Seven Legal Actions and Counting
This marks Kim's seventh legal filing:
- March 20: Filed under the Act on Special Cases Concerning the Punishment of Sexual Crimes (coercion using filmed material)
- March 24: Filed for threats
- March 31: Filed for defamation
- April 1: Filed for stalking
- Additional lawsuits were filed against the family and an individual impersonating an aunt
🕵️ Progress Slows, Despite Completed Statement from Kim
Despite the numerous filings, progress has stalled. Reports indicate that none of the accused have been summoned for questioning, while Kim Soo-hyun has already completed his investigation.
Chung Heung-sik, Chief of Criminal Investigation, told Dispatch:
"Kim Soo-hyun's statement has been taken. We're proceeding according to protocol. Although the investigative team has recently changed, the case is still ongoing."
🔎 Gangnam Police Also Handling Countersuit
Separately, Gangnam Police is also investigating the complaint filed against Kim Soo-hyun by Kim Se-eui and Kim Sae-ron's family. Three such cases are under review, with no investigation yet conducted on Kim's side for those charges either.
