ILLIT just made your summer playlist even hotter with a fresh batch of remixes! On June 27 at 1PM KST, the rising girl group unveiled new versions of their hit track 'Do the Dance' from their 3rd mini album 'Bum (bomb)'.
🎵 More Than Just a Remix — It's a Whole Vibe
The remix album features seven tracks in total, including the original song, four unique remixes, a slowed + reverb version, and even an instrumental. Each track offers a different flavor, making it a treat for both casual listeners and die-hard fans.
🌸 Snail's House, Sunlight & More
Among the standout remixes is the Snail's House Remix, crafted by Japanese DJ and producer Snail's House, known for his plucky R&B and chiptune vibes. It aligns perfectly with ILLIT's signature dreamy sound shown in tracks like 'Magnetic' and 'Tick-Tack'.
The Sunlight Remix turns up the summer heat with a bouncy bassline and addictive cat-like sounds. It's a track that'll get your shoulders moving without you even realizing it. Producer Pig Tape, who also worked on the original, returned to infuse a brand-new emotional tone into the track.
French electronic duo Breakbot and Irfane also joined the project, amplifying the French house vibes of the original with a deeper, groovier touch.
🐱 The Original Hit That Keeps Climbing
'Do the Dance' tells the story of a fluttering first date, wrapped in French house beats and quirky, cat-inspired lyrics like "Kungshil-nyaong" and "Doomchit-nyaong." It quickly caught fire on the charts — reaching the Melon Top 100, and sitting #1 on Apple Music Korea's Today's Top 100 for six consecutive days (June 18–23).
💿 Album Success Continues
The group's 3rd mini album 'Bum (bomb)' is also showing strong numbers, surpassing 400,000 copies in first-week sales. The album also secured top spots on Oricon and Billboard Japan's album charts, proving ILLIT's growing global popularity.
Stay tuned — ILLIT isn't done dancing just yet. 🐾
