Korea's top dog trainer is back — and this time, he's tackling deeper issues between pets and their owners.
📺 A comeback after a year
Kang Hyung-wook is returning to television with a brand-new pet reality show, Hour of the Dog and Wolf, set to premiere this August on Channel A. This marks his first public appearance since stepping away from the spotlight last year.
🐶 Not just dog problems — but people problems, too
The show focuses on solving dogs' behavioral issues — but with a twist. Kang will visit families, analyze the environment and the owner's behavior, and offer solutions that go beyond surface-level training. It's about real co-existence between humans and their furry friends.
⚖️ Cleared of all allegations
Kang's hiatus followed workplace misconduct allegations involving his company, Bodeum Company. Former employees accused him and his wife of reading internal communications without consent. However, in February 2025, the Gyeonggi Northern Provincial Police cleared him of all charges, citing "no violation" of the Information and Communications Network Act.
🛑 A career paused
Despite the "not guilty" conclusion, Kang took a major hit. He stepped down from KBS-2TV's Dogs Are Incredible and halted his YouTube content. Hour of the Dog and Wolf marks his official return to both screens and the public eye.
