Those who sexually harassed K-pop girl group iLLIT through deepfake videos are now facing serious consequences — including prison time. HYBE's label BELIFT LAB is cracking down with zero tolerance.
🚨 Malicious Posts and Deepfake Crimes Under Legal Fire
BELIFT LAB announced via Weverse on June 30 that it has been regularly collecting and tracking malicious content targeting iLLIT. This includes sexual insults, defamatory posts, and deepfake video creators.
"Perpetrators who posted sexually degrading messages have been identified and referred to the prosecution," the agency confirmed.
⚖️ Deepfake Video Makers Sentenced to Prison
Offenders involved in producing AI-manipulated pornographic content of iLLIT were sentenced to prison terms. Notably, even those using anonymous platforms like Telegram were successfully tracked.
"International judicial cooperation allows us to trace individuals even on anonymous messaging services," the agency emphasized.
🚫 No Settlement, No Mercy
BELIFT LAB made it clear: "We do not allow settlements or leniency for those who spread false information, commit defamation, or sexual harassment." All possible legal measures will continue to be enforced.
💬 Call for Continued Support
The company thanked fans for ongoing reports and pledged to keep taking firm action. "We are doing everything we can to ensure our artists can promote in a safe and healthy environment."
