Actor Lee Jun-young is officially making his big-screen debut in Japan. He'll be joining the star-studded cast of Tokyo Taxi, the 91st film by legendary Japanese director Yoji Yamada.

Tokyo Taxi is based on the French drama Paris Taxi, retold through the lens of Japanese culture and emotion. The story unfolds on the streets of Tokyo, capturing themes of regret, reconciliation, and unexpected miracles near life's end.
🌟 All-star cast featuring Kimura Takuya & Aoi Yu
Lee will act alongside Japan's biggest names—Kimura Takuya, Baisho Chieko, Aoi Yu, and Sakoda Takaya. He plays the pivotal role of Kim Young-gi, the first love of lead character Sumire (played by Baisho Chieko in the present and Aoi Yu in flashbacks).

Lee's casting was kept under wraps until all his scenes were completed. According to his agency, this secrecy was intended to preserve the emotional weight of the story.

Yoji Yamada, revered for his works like Twilight Samurai, Tokyo Family, and the It's Tough Being a Man series, reunites with Kimura Takuya for the first time in 19 years. Their last collaboration was 2006's The Hidden Blade.
