J-Hope Returns to His Military Roots—Surprises 36th Infantry Division on Homecoming Day

J-Hope just made a heartwarming return to where it all started—his former military base.

💂‍♂️ J-Hope Attends 36th Division Homecoming

On June 29, BTS's J-Hope visited the 36th Infantry Division in Wonju, Gangwon Province for its 2025 Homecoming Day. It's been 8 months since his discharge in October 2024, and he still made time for his fellow soldiers despite a packed schedule.

🎶 Busy but Meaningful Detour

Since completing his service, J-Hope has dropped three solo tracks and successfully wrapped his first world tour, drawing over 520,000 fans globally. Even the day before (June 28), he was spotted attending Jin's fan concert RUNSEOKJIN_EP.TOUR in Goyang.

🤝 Unshakable Camaraderie

Photos uploaded online show J-Hope posing with fellow soldiers, superiors, and juniors. Everyone made the signature "Killin' It Girl" hand gesture together. He even buried a time capsule and engraved his real name, Jung Hoseok, on a commemorative monument.

👀 Fans' Families Share the Moment

One netizen wrote, "My son is serving in the 36th Division and said he got to high-five J-Hope!"—a proud parent moment that made waves online.

🎵 BTS Full Group Comeback in the Works

Meanwhile, BTS is gearing up for a full-group album release. The members are reportedly planning a songwriting camp in the U.S. to kick off the new era.
