Rapper San E has been cleared of all charges related to a trespassing and property damage case filed earlier this year.
🚫 Police Drop Charges Due to Lack of Evidence
On July 8, San E (40) revealed via social media that the police had officially closed the investigation into his alleged co-trespassing and property destruction, stating there was "no basis for prosecution."
The Seoul Yangcheon Police Department issued a non-indictment notice citing insufficient evidence to support the claims against San E.
⚖️ The Backstory: Lawsuit Filed by RETA
The allegations stemmed from a March lawsuit filed by RETA (23), a Chinese rapper signed under San E's label, FameUs Entertainment.
RETA claimed that while she was in China due to visa issues, San E and another company staff member (referred to as "A") entered her Korean residence without permission and removed or disposed of her belongings.
She insisted she had never shared her home's door code with either of them, nor had she consented to any items being taken from her apartment.
📄 Police: "No Proof of Unauthorized Entry"
Authorities concluded there was not enough evidence to prove the alleged trespassing or unauthorized property removal. As a result, the case has been dropped with a "no charges" decision.
🎤 Who is RETA?
RETA debuted in 2022 with her self-titled single RETA and gained attention in 2023 through her appearance on the JTBC survival show Girls on Fire.
