True to his word, NCT's Doyoung is spreading love beyond the stage—by giving back. The idol has donated ₩100 million to support youth transitioning out of care.
🎁 Doyoung's 1st-Place Pledge Turns Into Real Impact
On July 11, donation platform Gotjang Donation (곧장기부) revealed that Doyoung contributed ₩100 million to assist young adults preparing for independent living, as well as children under institutional care.
This marks his second contribution, following a birthday donation he made in February 2024.
In a previous comeback interview for his second mini album Soar, Doyoung had promised fans he would donate if he achieved a music show win. After scoring three music show No.1s with the title track Goodbye, Universe, he fulfilled that pledge.
💬 "Thanks to Czennies, I Was Able to Make This Happen"
Doyoung shared his heartfelt thoughts:
"Receiving a No.1 trophy was already a huge gift from Czennies. But being able to keep my promise and give back makes it even more meaningful."
He added, "I hope this donation brings even a small sense of comfort to those beginning a new chapter. Just like the message in my album, I want everyone to find the power to dream freely."
🧡 Supporting Real Lives with Real Resources
The donation will go toward providing daily essentials kits for children and teens in orphanages and group homes, as well as young adults who have aged out of these systems. The goal? To help them have a healthier, happier summer.
