Korea's most trusted dog trainer, Kang Hyung-wook, is back on screen with a brand-new pet behavior show—and he's teaming up for the first time with veteran MC Kim Sung-joo.
🐶 New Pet Reality Show 'Between Dog and Wolf' Premieres August 5
Channel A officially announced on July 11 that Kim Sung-joo will co-host the upcoming reality show Between Dog and Wolf (Korean title: 개와 늑대의 시간, a.k.a. Gaeneuksi), alongside Kang Hyung-wook.
"It's the first time these two are working together as co-MCs," said the production team. "We're looking forward to the chemistry they'll create as they tackle real-life dog behavior issues."
🧠 Kang Hyung-wook Brings Deep-Dive Training, Kim Sung-joo Brings Empathy
Kang Hyung-wook, often nicknamed Korea's "Dog President," will take on a range of behavioral challenges between dogs and their owners. He won't just train dogs—he'll address the overall lifestyle and environment of pet guardians.
Kim Sung-joo, known for his warm hosting style and storytelling, will approach the show from the non-pet owner's perspective, raising key questions viewers are likely to ask. He'll serve as the bridge between Kang's expert advice and the daily realities of pet families.
🐺 Not Just a Bark Problem—Digging Into Root Causes
Between Dog and Wolf goes beyond surface-level obedience training. It's a realistic pet solution show that explores the root causes of behavioral problems—from pet owners' habits to environmental stressors.
The teaser poster, also revealed today, shows the silhouettes of Kang and Kim with a dog in the center. The dog's shadow, however, resembles a wolf—hinting at the show's core theme: how lovable pets can sometimes turn wild without proper care.
The teaser video is already gaining buzz, featuring dogs that bark excessively, bite, or resist control. Kang Hyung-wook is seen stepping in with his signature calm but firm approach to restore order and peace.
