JYP's American girl group VCHA is undergoing a lineup change as member Kaylee officially exits the team.
🧩 Kaylee Leaves VCHA After Mutual Decision
Kaylee Seohee Lee, the youngest member of VCHA, has decided to part ways with the group. A representative from JYP Entertainment confirmed on July 12, "After extensive discussions, Kaylee and JYP America have mutually agreed to conclude her activities with VCHA."
The label did not disclose specific details but added, "We will continue to sincerely support each other in the future."
🎤 From 6 to 4: Another Shift After KG's Exit
VCHA was formed through the A2K (America2Korea) project, a collaborative effort between JYP Entertainment and Republic Records under Universal Music Group. The group officially pre-debuted in September 2023 with six members: Lexi, Camila, Kendall, Savanna, KG, and Kaylee.
Kaylee, who held dual citizenship in the U.S. and Korea, was just 13 years old when she joined. She had previously taken a break from activities due to health concerns in March 2024.
This is the second departure for the group. In December 2024, member KG announced her withdrawal and filed a lawsuit against JYP USA, alleging abuse and mistreatment. JYP USA denied the claims, calling them "false and exaggerated."
🛑 No New Releases Since 'Only One'
Following the release of their second single Only One in March 2024, VCHA has remained relatively quiet in terms of public activity. With Kaylee's departure, the group is now restructured as a four-member team: Lexi, Camila, Kendall, and Savanna.
Fans are now looking forward to what the revamped VCHA will bring next on the global stage.
