PLAVE has made an explosive debut in Japan, smashing records with their very first single.
🔥 No.1 on Oricon Weekly Single Chart
According to Oricon's latest chart (as of July 15), PLAVE's Japanese debut single Kakurenbo (かくれんぼ) landed straight at #1 on the weekly singles ranking.
💿 Record-Breaking First Week Sales
The group sold 220,000 copies in their first week (July 7–13), a remarkable feat for a debut release. This also marks the highest first-week sales by a foreign artist in Japan this year, beating the previous record set by TOUCHED (150,000 copies).
🏆 Oricon Dominance Continues
This isn't their first taste of chart-topping success. Back in February, their 3rd Korean mini-album Caligo Pt.1 topped Oricon's Daily Album Chart.
🎵 Three Powerful Tracks in Japanese
Kakurenbo includes three Japanese-language songs: the original title track "Kakurenbo," plus Japanese versions of fan favorites "RIZZ" and "Chroma Drift."
🎤 Showcase & Pop-up in Shibuya
PLAVE kicked off promotions with a debut showcase in Tokyo on June 17, following the digital release of the single a day earlier. They also held a pop-up store in Shibuya, signaling a full-scale entry into the Japanese market.
🌏 Next Stop: Asia Tour
PLAVE is gearing up for their first Asia tour, starting with three shows at KSPO Dome in Seoul from August 15 to 17, under the tour title DASH: Quantum Leap.
