'K-pop Demon Hunters' OST Takes Over the World — Hits No.6 on Billboard Hot 100

The soundtrack of K-pop Demon Hunters is rewriting global music history.

🎵 'Golden' Hits No.6 on Billboard Hot 100

On July 15, Billboard unveiled its latest chart (dated July 19), and the K-pop Demon Hunters OST track "Golden" by virtual girl group HUNTRIX ranked No.6 on the Billboard Hot 100, the main singles chart.

That's a massive 17-spot jump from last week's 23rd, and just two weeks after debuting at No.81. It's been on a steady rise for three consecutive weeks.

👾 Historic Firsts for Virtual Artists & K-pop

HUNTRIX is now the first virtual K-pop group to break into the Hot 100 Top 10, and the first virtual act since Hannah Montana in 2009 to do so overall. A landmark moment in digital artistry.

🎙️ TWICE Members Shine Individually

Another OST track, "Takedown" featuring TWICE's Jeongyeon, Jihyo, and Chaeyoung, entered the Hot 100 at No.86 — marking the first time any TWICE members have charted individually on Billboard's main singles chart.

📈 Streaming & Sales Numbers

  • "Golden":
  • • 18.8 million streams
  • • 950,000 radio impressions
  • • 3,000 digital sales
  • "Takedown" is also gaining momentum globally.

🌍 Global Domination Continues

  • "Golden" is No.1 on both the Billboard Global 200 and Global Excl. U.S. charts — a first for a virtual artist.
  • "Your Idol" by Saja Boys ranked #3 and #5, and "Soda Pop" ranked #6 and #7 on those same charts.

💿 Album Also at the Top

On the Billboard 200, the full K-pop Demon Hunters OST album climbed to No.2, making it one of just four OSTs in the 2020s to hit the Top 2, alongside Encanto, Wicked, and Barbie.

The album racked up 96.33 million streams in its third week, the highest weekly total for any OST since Encanto in 2022.

🇰🇷 Korean Charts Are Buzzing Too

  • "Golden" ranked No.1 on Melon's Top 100 as of 11 AM KST on July 15.
  • Saja Boys' "Soda Pop" trailed closely behind at No.4.

The K-pop Demon Hunters OST is proving that virtual meets K-pop might just be the next wave of global chart power.
