BoA has officially called off her upcoming concert due to a serious health condition.
On July 15, SM Entertainment confirmed, "BoA recently visited the hospital after experiencing severe knee pain. She was diagnosed with acute osteonecrosis, which requires surgical treatment."
💔 Surgery Comes First
BoA was scheduled to hold her 5th solo concert on August 30–31 to celebrate her 25th debut anniversary with fans. However, all activities have now been canceled to prioritize her surgery and recovery.
According to SM, "Doctors advised that BoA refrain from strenuous physical activities like dancing to prevent further progression of the condition. Surgery is necessary and has been scheduled."
🎤 Album Still on Track
While the concert is on hold, SM assured fans that BoA's new album—originally set to mark her 25th anniversary—will still be released as planned.
The agency added, "We sincerely apologize to fans for the sudden news and ask for your understanding. BoA's health remains our top priority."
⏳ Future Concerts TBD
SM stated that whether future concerts will proceed depends on BoA's recovery post-surgery. "We'll focus all our efforts on her treatment and full recovery."
BoA debuted on August 25, 2000. She had also announced plans for a Japan tour in September through November.
