Min Hee-jin and HYBE Both Avoid Legal Action—Police Drop All Charges

The legal tug-of-war between ADOR CEO Min Hee-jin and HYBE has officially come to a halt—with neither side facing prosecution.

🧾 All Cases Dropped by Police

On July 15, the Yongsan Police Station announced its decision not to forward the case against Min Hee-jin for breach of duty. Authorities concluded that her actions did not amount to pursuing personal gain or intentionally harming the company.

Min Hee-jin's side released a statement shortly after:

"Following over a year of investigation, the police found no illegality. Both cases filed by HYBE have been dropped."

HYBE also revealed that Min's earlier complaints against HYBE executives were likewise dismissed.

⚖️ HYBE's Statement on Dismissed Charges

HYBE confirmed that a 2023 complaint—filed by Min and her allies, accusing five HYBE executives of obstruction of business and defamation—was not pursued by law enforcement.

Additionally, HYBE noted that all related accusations by third parties were also dismissed:

  • Min Hee-jin's defamation and false accusation complaint against BELIFT LAB's creative team
  • Tim Bunnyz's lawsuit against BELIFT LAB executives
  • Shin Woo-seok (CEO of Dolphin Kidnappers)'s lawsuit against current ADOR management

All of these were either dismissed or found baseless by the authorities.

🔍 HYBE Plans to Challenge the Decision

Despite the police dropping the case, HYBE isn't backing down. The company announced it would file an objection with the prosecution immediately, citing "new developments and evidence" since the initial investigation.

HYBE emphasized the contract termination notice filed by NewJeans and additional evidence presented in civil court, stating:

"The injunction court described Min's actions as deliberately undermining the foundational structure of the exclusive contract."

The legal battle between HYBE and Min Hee-jin continues—but for now, both sides walk away without criminal charges.
