NewJeans has officially ended their term as promotional ambassadors for Korea's Incheon Airport Customs Office.
🛫 Contract Not Renewed Due to Ongoing Legal Dispute
On July 15, a representative from the Customs Office told Dispatch, "Our promotional ambassador contract with NewJeans has ended. After smooth discussions with ADOR, we decided not to extend it."
Although both sides were reportedly in talks for a renewal, the current dispute between ADOR and HYBE made it difficult for the group to continue related activities.
📅 1-Year Term Completed in March
NewJeans was appointed as the official ambassador for the Customs Office back in March 2024. Their 1-year contract officially ended this past March. Speculation had been circulating about a possible renewal or a search for a new ambassador.
👑 Past Lineup Included Girls' Generation, BLACKPINK
With past ambassadors including K-pop powerhouses like Girls' Generation and BLACKPINK, rumors have sparked that another top-tier girl group might take the baton. But the Customs Office clarified: "A new ambassador has not yet been decided."
Stay tuned for who will represent Korea's Customs next—and whether the next face will match the impact NewJeans made in their term.
