Korea's hit survival show Physical: 100 is officially going global — with a U.S. edition on the way.
Netflix announced on July 16, "We've confirmed production of Physical: 100 USA (working title). It's a bold step in expanding the world of the ultimate physical competition show."
💪 From Korea to the U.S. — The Global Power of 'Physical: 100'
Physical: 100 is a Korean reality competition series that pits 100 of the fittest contestants against one another in extreme physical challenges — all in pursuit of discovering the "perfect body."
The series quickly became a global sensation. Season 1 made history as the first Korean variety show to top Netflix's Global Top 10.
Now, Physical: 100 USA will take the competition stateside, featuring elite athletes from sports, fitness, and military backgrounds. The battle to claim the strongest physique will push contestants to their limits.
🌎 Expanding the Format: USA Today, Europe Tomorrow
Yoo Ki-hwan, Director of Nonfiction Content at Netflix Korea, stated:
"Physical: 100 received overwhelming love around the world. It proved that Korean reality formats can resonate globally."
He added, "Physical: 100 USA will offer a different kind of thrill while continuing the global expansion of Korean unscripted content."
And the growth isn't stopping there — a European version is also in the works, signaling Netflix's commitment to making Physical: 100 a true international franchise.
🥊 'Physical: Asia' with Manny Pacquiao Set for Late 2025
Meanwhile, the third season titled Physical: Asia is also coming later this year.
One of the most exciting additions? Filipino boxing legend Manny Pacquiao will join the cast.
"Physical: Asia will feature national representatives from across the continent in an intense country-versus-country showdown," said Yoo. "Expect the most heated and evolved physical survival yet."
Physical: Asia is slated for release in Q4 2025.
