"We will always believe in Czennies and keep moving forward."
NCT DREAM once again lit up Gocheok Sky Dome with a sea of green. Since first performing at the venue in 2023, this marks their fourth appearance. Their live skills were stronger than ever, and Czennies were even more passionate.
The concert expanded on the narrative of their 5th full-length album, Back to the Future, transforming it into a journey through time and space. The show was divided into five distinct sections: 'Future,' 'Past,' 'Utopia,' 'Dystopia,' and 'Absolute Present.'
The setlist was carefully curated. Each song's emotional arc and message were woven into a single storyline. With stage devices and video effects, it felt like watching a film unfold live.
NCT DREAM's energy remained unmatched. They minimized talk time and performed 26 songs over approximately 230 minutes without pause. As a 10-year veteran group, they demonstrated stable live vocals and flawless choreography.
NCT DREAM held their world tour The Dream Show 4: Dream the Future at Gocheok Sky Dome in Seoul from July 10 to 12. A total of 60,000 Czennies attended over the three days. Dispatch covered the final day.
◆ Future: Dream Rush
The group began their time-space journey in the future. A stage designed like goggles and a code-filled screen created a stunning sci-fi atmosphere.
They kicked off with one of their double title tracks, "BTTF." Their choreography, mimicking a time machine and shadow cloning, instantly captivated the audience.
Intense performances of "Ridin'" and "ISTJ" followed. Jaemin shouted, "Make some noise!" and fans responded with thunderous cheers.
Jaemin's finger-gun motion led into "Boom," where the crowd went wild for his iconic "Ice cream" line and wink.
Despite powerful choreography, Renjun delivered unwavering high notes, including a perfect 4-level high note. His live vocals pierced through the AR tracks, maintaining the concert's energy.
◆ Past: Youth Reload
In the VCR, NCT DREAM discovered a time machine and headed to the past without hesitation. They brought back nostalgic songs while dressed in basketball outfits, reenacting their teenage years.
They performed throwback tracks like "We Young," "Dunk Shot," and "Candy," filling the summer night with refreshing vibes.
Switching to cowboy-style outfits, they heated up the venue with "Hot Sauce" and "Diggity." Red fireworks lit up the stage, amplifying the excitement.
After performing 10 songs, the members finally addressed the crowd. Renjun said, "Meeting like this brings double the energy."
"Next up, the dance collaboration stage of our two teddy bears! 1, 2, 3, let's go!" (Haechan)
Haechan and Chenle delivered a duo dance performance. The group followed up with "1, 2, 3," "Starry Night," "Yoo," "La La Love," and "My Page," melting Czennies' hearts with their pure vocals.
◆ Fracture: Utopia - Dystopia
The third section explored the transition between utopia and dystopia. The VCR portrayed members in danger due to time ruptures, eventually realizing the value of the present.
As the video ended, red lasers engulfed the venue. Members, blindfolded with black cloths, performed "Best of Me," exuding a restrained sensuality that left the crowd breathless.
"Stronger" and "Smoothie" cranked up the heat. During "Stronger," Jaemin and Jeno dramatically unbuttoned their jackets, triggering deafening screams.
During the talk segment, Mark asked Jeno, "Which day of the three did you like your abs the best?" Jeno proudly replied, "All of them."
The dystopian part followed with emotional performances of "Broken Melodies," "Trigger the Fever," and "Hello Future." Haechan, Renjun, and Chenle showcased their vocal prowess with high-note ad-libs.
◆ Absolute Present: with Czennies
After the long journey through time, NCT DREAM returned to the present, cherishing the irreplaceable past. They reappeared on stage with the other double title track, "Chiller."
They expressed gratitude to Czennies by riding trolleys around the ground floor, singing "Off the Wall" and "Rocket" while greeting fans in every corner.
During their heartfelt ending ment, Haechan said, "Preparing the album and concert simultaneously was tough, but during this concert, I truly felt, 'This is what I live for.'"
The group hinted at more to come. Jeno teased, "The 'Chiller' MV will be released soon. Please look forward to our promotions." Jisung added, "We have a lot more to show in the second half of the year."
The final song was "Dreaming of Flying in the Sky." NCT DREAM ran to the extended stage, locking eyes with fans like a poignant final movie scene. It was a night to remember.
