🎤 Hui Bids Farewell to CUBE Entertainment
On July 16, CUBE Entertainment officially announced the end of its exclusive contract with PENTAGON's leader Hui.
"After thorough discussions, we have mutually agreed to part ways," the agency shared.
Throughout his time with the company, Hui showcased incredible talent as PENTAGON's main vocalist and leader, and also built his own musical universe as a producer and solo artist.
📝 From 'Shine' to Solo Stardom
Debuting with PENTAGON in 2016, Hui played a key role in the group's biggest hits like 'Shine,' 'Naughty Boy,' and 'Spring Snow'. His sharp production skills and emotional vocal tone made him a standout in the K-pop scene.
In 2022, he completed his mandatory military service as a public service worker. After discharge, he boldly joined Mnet's Boys Planet as a contestant, reigniting his solo career with determination.
🙏 CUBE Sends Warm Wishes for the Future
CUBE added, "We're deeply grateful for Hui's dedication over the past nine years. We ask fans to continue supporting him as he begins a new journey."
Although his contract has ended, CUBE confirmed they will continue to assist Hui during his recovery from a recent nasal fracture sustained while filming JTBC's Let's Play Soccer 4. He is currently focusing on treatment and rest.
🌟 What's Next for Hui?
While future plans haven't been officially announced yet, fans are eager to see what musical direction Hui will take next—whether it's more solo releases, collaborations, or production work behind the scenes.
One thing's for sure: the next chapter is his to write.
