SEVENTEEN's Seungkwan is giving back to his roots—through voice, passion, and public service. The singer has volunteered his talents for a public interest campaign aimed at promoting Jeju Island, his beloved hometown.
📺 "A Promise with Jeju" Campaign Launches
On July 17, the Jeju Special Self-Governing Province released the official campaign video titled "A Promise with Jeju" on YouTube. Beginning July 18, the ad will air on national TV, radio, and digital billboards across Seoul and Jeju.
🌿 Seungkwan's Heartfelt Participation
Despite his busy schedule, Seungkwan made time to participate, delivering a warm and lively narration that blends perfectly with Jeju's natural scenery. The campaign aims to spread awareness of responsible tourism and the island's sustainable values.
🗣️ Seungkwan's Message
"It's truly an honor to help share the true beauty and values of Jeju with the world," he said.
He added, "I'll always cheer for Jeju as it grows into a city where nature and tourism coexist in harmony."
💛 A Lifelong Advocate for Jeju
- In June, Seungkwan donated 20 million KRW to the Cultural Heritage Administration to help preserve Jeju's cultural sites.
- As a Jeju ambassador, he previously contributed through "Hometown Love" donations, supporting endangered dolphins native to Jeju's coasts.
- At the 13th UNESCO Youth Forum, he spotlighted Jeju as the only region globally recognized in all three UNESCO natural environment categories.
- SEVENTEEN also became the first K-pop group to lead a special session at the UNESCO forum and now serves as UNESCO's first Youth Goodwill Ambassadors.
Seungkwan's enduring dedication to Jeju continues to make a difference—one meaningful action at a time.
