KICKFLIP members Juwang and Minje made their pro baseball debut—not on the field, but on the pitcher's mound and batter's box.
⚾ On July 18, the rising K-pop duo was invited to throw the ceremonial first pitch and take the first swing at the KT Wiz vs. Hanwha Eagles game held at Suwon KT Wiz Park. Representing the home team KT Wiz, the members helped kick off the game in front of a cheering crowd.
This moment was especially meaningful for the group. Back in May during the showcase for their second mini album Kick Out, Flip Now!, both members mentioned throwing a ceremonial pitch as one of their dream goals. And now, that dream has become a reality.
Minje stepped up for the pitch, while Juwang took on the batter's role. Their powerful throw and confident swing energized the stadium before the game even began—marking a successful first pitch and swing experience.
💬 "It was such a meaningful moment to be the one to kick off the game as the ceremonial batter," Juwang said. "I could really feel the passion of both the players and the fans."
Minje shared, "I still remember going to ball games with my family as a kid, so this felt like a dream come true. I'll treasure this unforgettable experience and continue showing you my best."
🎤 KICKFLIP is also gearing up for a major festival debut. They'll perform at Lollapalooza Chicago on August 2 (local time), followed by appearances at Summer Sonic 2025 in Japan (August 16–17) and Thailand (August 24).
