Ha Jung-woo Apologizes for Inappropriate Nickname: "Personally Reached Out to Fan"

Actor Ha Jung-woo has issued an apology following controversy over an inappropriate comment on social media.

📢 On July 21, his agency Workhouse Company released an official statement:

"We sincerely apologize to the individual who may have been hurt by our artist's recent interaction on social media."

The statement confirmed that Ha Jung-woo personally contacted the fan involved and apologized directly.

"We promise to be more careful and thoughtful in future interactions with fans," the agency added.

📱 The incident occurred during a casual conversation with fans on SNS. When a fan with the last name "Choi" asked Ha Jung-woo to give them a nickname, he replied with "Choi-eum-je" (a Korean wordplay that can be interpreted as a sexual innuendo).

The comment has since been deleted as of July 21.

🔻 Official Statement from Workhouse Company:

"Hello, this is Workhouse Company.

We would like to offer our sincere apology to the individual who may have been offended by our artist's recent SNS activity.

The actor has personally reached out to the fan and spoken with them.

We promise to be more cautious and respectful in all future communication with fans.

Thank you."
