Two legendary actors return with fresh, unfamiliar faces in a black comedy that blends sharp visuals and social satire.
🎭 First Look: Illustrated Poster & Teaser Trailer Drop
CJ ENM unveiled the official poster and teaser for No Choice (dir. Park Chan-wook) on July 22, starring Lee Byung-hun, Son Ye-jin, Park Hee-soon, Lee Sung-min, Yum Hye-ran, and Cha Seung-won.
The poster features vibrant illustrations of characters hidden within a crape myrtle tree. Lee's character "Mansoo" appears repeatedly throughout the tree, while Son Ye-jin's "Miri" radiates warmth with her signature smile. The couple's children also appear, enjoying a picnic with their dogs.
Meanwhile, supporting characters—like Park Hee-soon's laid-back union rep "Seon-chul," Lee Sung-min's anxious job-seeker "Beom-mo," and Yum Hye-ran's artist "Ara"—add texture to the ensemble. A stark contrast is drawn between Mansoo's somber stance in front of his home and his joyful past, dancing with Miri.
🪓 "You're fired" hits different in Korea
The teaser opens with a line that sets the film's tone:
"In America, they say you're axed. In Korea? We say, 'You're neck's on the line.'" (Mansoo)
Heavy beats roll in as the trailer cuts to Mansoo navigating the chaos of re-employment. While he's clearly stressed and shaken, Miri stays serene—even in the face of looming crisis. The dynamic between characters hints at unpredictable relationships and workplace satire.
🧩 Black comedy meets real-world crisis
From desperate job hunting and office politics to domestic tension and artistic dreams, No Choice promises a layered narrative with humor and heartache. According to the production team, the film combines "unforgettable performances, stylish visuals, emotional storytelling, and black comedy that will resonate deeply."
