🎤 Rei's Heartfelt Moment at Lollapalooza Paris
IVE's Rei made a splash at Lollapalooza Paris on July 20—not only for her powerful stage presence, but also for her head-turning hairstyle inspired by her character Joy in K-Pop Demon Hunters.
In a recent behind-the-scenes reveal, Rei shared that the hairstyle was her own idea. "Joy's hair reminded me of my debut profile shoot back in 2021," she said. "It symbolized staying true to my roots."
🕰️ Looking Back to Move Forward
Rei opened up about the significance behind the look:
"I wanted Dive [IVE's fandom] to remember who I was when I debuted. But more than that, I wanted to show them how far I've come."
She added warmly, "I've grown, but Rei is still Rei. I still love Dive just as much, and I'll always try to be someone they're proud of."
🌱 Continuing to Grow
Despite already proving her talents over the past five years, Rei remains committed to improving:
"I just want Dive to know how much I want to show them my best side."
She described the Lollapalooza performance as a moment of pure joy.
🎶 Rei's Signature Sound
Since her debut in 2021, Rei has consistently showcased her unique appeal:
- A Japanese member fluent in Korean, her sharp diction and stable live rap earn praise.
- Her distinct vocal tone has made her the go-to member for IVE's signature song intros. Even non-highlight moments like her line in 'Attitude'—"폭주 기니"—have become fan favorites.
⚽ What's Next for Rei & IVE
- July 30: IVE will appear at the friendly match between Team K-League and Newcastle United, performing at halftime and participating in the ceremonial first kick.
- August comeback: A brand new album is on the way, set to deliver more signature IVE energy.
