Netflix has announced a new swoon-worthy K-romance series — and the lead cast is already turning heads.

On July 29, Netflix confirmed the production of its new original series Recharge My Heart (working title), based on the popular web novel of the same name.
The series will star Kim Young-kwang and Chae Soo-bin, bringing a charming, high-concept romance to life.
🧡 Plot Summary
Recharge My Heart follows the story of a man with an artificial heart that's losing battery… and a woman who happens to have electric powers.
- Kim Young-kwang plays Baek Ho-rang, a third-generation chaebol who runs a luxury resort under a large conglomerate. Though he's in line for leadership, he hides a major secret — he depends on a battery-powered artificial heart. When he meets Bo-bae, everything changes.
- Chae Soo-bin stars as Na Bo-bae, a struggling romance drama writer with a shocking secret of her own — she was struck by lightning as a child and now has electricity flowing through her body. She's never had a love life… until Ho-rang shows up and offers a mysterious contract.

The series will be directed by Park Su-won, known for witty hits like Work Later, Drink Now 2 and Birthcare Center. The script is penned by rookie writer Song Yoo-chae, making her drama debut.
