Lee Seung-gi is teaming up with legendary singer Jun In-kwon for a special duet stage — and he's opening up about his ongoing passion for music.
Lee Seung-gi will appear with Jun In-kwon on the 7th episode of Mnet's music talk show Live Wire, airing August 1. It marks their first reunion in eight years since meeting on a variety show back in 2017. Alongside MCs Jung Jae-hyung and Code Kunst, the two will delve into stories about life and music.
🎙️ Cross-generational chemistry expected
Fans can look forward to a powerful duet that blends Jun In-kwon's deep, resonant voice with Lee Seung-gi's explosive vocal energy. The synergy between their contrasting vocal tones is expected to shine.
Lee Seung-gi shared, "People often find Jun In-kwon intimidating, but in person, he's actually warm and delightfully quirky."
🧠 On music, growth, and finding joy
Lee also shared a personal update: "These days, I've been spending a lot of time looking inward. And what still excites me the most is music. Singing brings me joy. I'm not naturally gifted, but I keep taking vocal lessons and practicing."
He added, "Within five years, I want to create a mega-hit — the kind of song where people recognize it within the first three seconds. That's my goal. I'd be thrilled if I could make a song that everyone knows."
📺 Live Wire airs Friday, August 1 at 7 PM KST on both Mnet and tvN.
