Actors Gong Myung and Shin Eun-soo are teaming up for a nostalgic and heart-fluttering romance in the upcoming Netflix film The History of a Confession. Netflix confirmed the movie will premiere exclusively on the platform on August 29.

Directed by Namkoong Sun, the film blends first love and high school chaos into a charming coming-of-age narrative.

Plot Teases Curls, Crushes, and Confessions

The story follows Seri, a 19-year-old girl with stubborn curly hair, as she plans a once-in-a-lifetime confession of love. Her plan takes an unexpected turn after she gets involved with a mysterious transfer student.

The teaser poster shows Seri doing everything she can to straighten her curls—using origami cranes, hair rollers, and more. The tagline reads: "Just let my hair behave, and I swear I'll confess for real."

Youthful Energy and '90s Nostalgia

The teaser trailer opens with Seri's inner monologue as past failed confessions flash by. Determined to succeed this time, she launches a "final confession mission" targeting her crush, Kim Hyun (played by Cha Woo-min), with the help of new transfer student Yoon-seok (Gong Myung).
