ILLIT is stepping into the spotlight once again—this time as the main characters in their very own webtoon.

🌙 'SUMMER MOON' Webtoon Drops Tonight at 10 PM KST

On August 4, HYBE announced that its new original webtoon SUMMER MOON: THE QUPRIDS will premiere at 10 PM KST. The story is directly inspired by ILLIT's musical message and identity.

The plot follows a group of high school girls who transform into magical girls, embarking on a journey of growth and self-discovery. Each member of ILLIT is reimagined as a magical heroine, learning through challenges that "true magic lies in accepting yourself."

💫 Music, Magic, and Message in One Story

SUMMER MOON encapsulates ILLIT's core message: honest, optimistic expression of youth. The group's values are reflected in both the storyline and its characters.

This concept was previewed in their 3rd mini album BOMB, where they embraced a magical girl theme. In the brand film for the release, the members voiced the line: "Remember, the magic is within you." That narrative now continues through the webtoon.

Fans can look forward to spotting characters that resemble the members—an intentional touch to create deeper immersion.

🛍️ Offline Events at Daiso and Artbox

To celebrate the launch, offline events will take place at 420 Daiso stores and 10 Artbox locations across Korea. Starting August 4 at 5 PM, fans can pick up themed "dress-up" cutouts inspired by the webtoon, available through August 17.

A HYBE representative shared, "SUMMER MOON is an original story that mirrors ILLIT's message. We hope it becomes a new kind of joy for GLIT (ILLIT's fandom)."

🎤 Ongoing Fan Concert in Japan

Meanwhile, ILLIT is currently on their first-ever fan concert tour. On August 10–11, they will host Glitter Day at Yokohama Pia Arena MM in Japan.
