JTBC program shows support for long-time cast member during personal loss

JTBC's long-running variety show Knowing Bros has officially canceled its scheduled August 7 recording following the passing of cast member Lee Soo-geun's father.
A JTBC representative confirmed the news to Dispatch on August 6, stating:
"The scheduled recording for August 7 has been canceled out of consideration for Lee Soo-geun."
📺 Upcoming broadcast unaffected
The network reassured fans that the upcoming episode will air as planned using pre-recorded content.
"There is no impact on the broadcast. A pre-recorded episode is ready to air. The next recording date has yet to be determined," the rep added.
👨👦 Cast shares deep family-like bond
Knowing Bros is in its 10th year of broadcast, with the cast famously known for their close, family-like camaraderie. Lee Soo-geun's father was also warmly familiar to fans, having appeared via phone on the show in the past.
🕯️ Funeral arrangements
Lee Soo-geun's father passed away on August 5 at the age of 81 due to a chronic illness. His agency released a statement:
"We ask for your understanding and support so that Lee Soo-geun may mourn in peace."
The wake is being held at Asan Medical Center in Seoul, with a quiet family ceremony planned. The funeral procession will take place at 7:30 AM on August 7, with burial at the National Cemetery.
