Lee Min (birth name: Lee Min-young, age 46), a member of the female duo As One, has passed away.
Lee Min was found dead at her home on the evening of August 5. The police are currently investigating the cause of death.
A representative from Brand New Music told Dispatch on August 6, "The police are conducting an investigation," and added, "We kindly ask that people refrain from making speculative assumptions until the results are confirmed."
According to sources in the music industry, Lee Min had remained active in her career. She released a new single titled Happy Birthday to You in June and also made an appearance on Park Bo-gum's Cantabile.
A long-time friend of the late singer told Dispatch, "She was truly a positive person," adding, "She was enjoying her return to the stage after a long time. I still can't believe this happened."
Lee Min had been balancing her work as a vocal coach and her singing career. Another acquaintance shared, "I saw her just last week. She lived a very diligent life."
Lee Min debuted in 1999 as part of the female duo As One. The group is known for several hit songs, including "You Always" (Wonhago Wonmanghajyo), "Day by Day," "Don't Say That" (Cheonmaneyo), and "Should I Be Sorry" (Mianhaeya Haneun Geoni).
