HYBE is teaming up with Geffen Records to discover the next big global girl group through a massive audition tour across Japan called "World Scout The Final Piece."
Global Talent Hunt and Training for K-Pop Debut
Announced on August 7, the project is a joint effort by HYBE and Geffen Records to scout promising talent across Japan. Successful candidates will undergo K-pop style training from October to December, specially tailored for the U.S. market.
After initial training, finalists will join a U.S.-based boot camp to compete and refine their skills. The final group is set to debut in 2026, representing HYBE's second global girl group after Catz Eye.
Exclusive Behind-the-Scenes Content on Japanese OTT
The entire audition and training journey will be documented exclusively on Japan's OTT platform Abema in spring 2026. HYBE and Geffen highlight the process as a unique opportunity for young talents to grow with world-class producers.
Building on Catz Eye's Global Success
This new project builds on the momentum from 2023's "The Debut: Dream Academy" audition, which created Catz Eye — HYBE's first global girl group. Catz Eye made waves immediately, delivering powerful performances including at Lollapalooza Chicago and climbing major U.S. charts such as the Billboard Hot 100 and Billboard 200.
HYBE's bold global expansion strategy continues to shape the future of K-pop on the world stage.
