K-pop girl group IVE is dominating the Japanese music scene once again, securing two No.1 titles on the Oricon weekly charts with their latest album.
'Be Alright' Becomes IVE's Most Successful Japanese Album Yet
According to Oricon's latest update (as of August 11), IVE's third Japanese album Be Alright ranked No.1 on the Weekly Combined Album Chart, which factors in physical sales, digital downloads, and streaming. The group has now set a new personal best in Japan.
Oricon reported that Be Alright surpassed the performance of their previous album ALIVE, marking the highest score for an overseas female artist in Japan this year.
IVE also took the top spot on the Weekly Physical Album Chart, with first-week physical sales exceeding 165,000 copies — earning them a double crown on the Oricon charts.
Billboard Japan and Tower Records Follow Suit
The momentum didn't stop at Oricon. Be Alright also claimed No.1 on Billboard Japan's Top Album Sales chart for the week of August 6. This marks IVE's third consecutive Japanese release to top this chart, following WAVE and ALIVE.
Thanks to strong album sales, the album also ranked No.1 on Tower Records' Nationwide Overall Album Chart, highlighting its widespread popularity in retail as well.
Be Alright features a total of five tracks, including the uplifting title song of the same name, which delivers a hopeful message about moving forward.
IVE to Return with New Korean Mini Album
Meanwhile, IVE is preparing for their Korean comeback. Their 4th mini album IVE SECRET is set to be released on August 25 at 6 PM KST.
