Hollywood actor Brad Pitt is grieving the passing of his mother, Jane Pitt, who died at the age of 64.
Family Confirms the News
On August 7 (KST), multiple U.S. outlets including ABC News and TMZ reported that Jane Pitt had passed away the previous day. Brad Pitt's niece, Sydney Pitt, expressed her sorrow on social media, writing, "I'm not ready to let go of Grandma, but it brings me peace knowing she's now free to sing and paint again."
She added, "Her love knew no bounds. She was love itself, and she's still with us — living on in our hearts."

Brad Pitt had publicly shown his affection for his mother on several occasions. During an appearance on NBC's Today Show this past June, he mentioned, "It's a show my mom watches every morning. Love you, Mom."
Jane Pitt previously accompanied her son to the 84th Academy Awards in 2012 and attended the premiere of Unbroken, directed by Angelina Jolie, in 2014.
