SEVENTEEN leader gives back with heartfelt gesture for kids in need

Meaningful birthday gift

S.Coups of SEVENTEEN marked his birthday with a generous donation of ₩50 million (approx. $38,000) to support meal programs for children from low-income families.

According to the Community Chest of Korea (also known as Fruit of Love), the donation officially makes him the 3,710th member of the prestigious "Honor Society"—a group of high-value donors recognized for their commitment to social good.

Support for children during summer break

The SEVENTEEN leader requested his donation be used to help children and teens in need. The organization announced that the funds will go toward providing meals for children who may face food insecurity during the summer vacation period.

S.Coups shared,

"Thanks to the love from my fans, my birthday has become a truly meaningful day each year. I wanted to give back a small portion of the love I've received."

He added,

"I sincerely support the healthy growth of all children and teenagers."

A consistent advocate for social causes

S.Coups is known for his interest in child welfare and animal protection. He has repeatedly supported animal shelters and rescue organizations, helping with medical expenses and rescue operations for abused animals.

SEVENTEEN's 10th anniversary

Meanwhile, SEVENTEEN is celebrating its 10th debut anniversary in 2025. In May, they released their 5th full-length album Happy BIRTHDAY, and starting this September, they will kick off their global tour SEVENTEEN WORLD TOUR 'NEW_' at Incheon Asiad Main Stadium.
