Dark secrets and uneasy alliances unfold in KBS2's upcoming weekend series
K-drama icon Lee Young-ae and rising star Kim Young-kwang are teaming up for a risky and suspense-filled partnership in Eunsoo's Good Day, KBS2's new weekend action-thriller series set to premiere on September 20 at 9:20 PM KST.
A Dangerous Alliance Begins
On August 8, the production released a striking main poster featuring the two leads locked in a tense standoff. Between them lie stacks of cash, a money counter, and a Boston bag—hinting at a dangerous scheme in motion. Kim reaches for the bag while Lee watches with sharp intensity.
Plot: When a Parent Turns to Crime
The drama follows Kang Eunsoo (Lee Young-ae), an ordinary mother who cherishes her quiet, family-centered life. But when sudden misfortune threatens her loved ones, she's pushed to the edge—and into a shadowy partnership with a man she barely knows.
That man is Lee Kyung (Kim Young-kwang), an after-school art teacher with a double life. By day, he educates children; by night, he works as a club promoter. His mysterious past and hidden agenda keep the suspense high.
From Writer of 'Cheese in the Trap'
Eunsoo's Good Day is penned by Jeon Young-shin, known for writing Cheese in the Trap and The Lies Within. The series is directed by Song Hyun-wook, whose past works include The Beauty Inside, Another Miss Oh, and The King's Affection.
Expect Twists, Tension, and Moral Dilemmas
According to the production team, the drama will explore whether this "dangerous partnership" can lead to anything resembling a "good day"—or whether it's doomed from the start. Viewers can expect a mix of action, emotion, and psychological tension as two strangers become uneasy allies under desperate circumstances.
Eunsoo's Good Day airs its first episode September 20 on KBS2, continuing every Saturday and Sunday night.
