K-pop boy group TOURUS has earned another Gold-certified album in Japan.
On August 8, the Recording Industry Association of Japan (RIAJ) announced that TOURUS's Japanese debut single, "Nice to See You Again," surpassed 100,000 copies sold as of last month, earning the Gold Disc "Gold" certification.
In Japan, RIAJ certifications are awarded monthly based on cumulative physical shipments: Gold (100,000 units), Platinum (250,000), Double Platinum (500,000), Triple Platinum (750,000), and Million (1,000,000). This marks TOURUS's third Gold certification, following their debut single "Last Bell" and third mini album "TRY WITH US."
Dominating Charts from Release Week
Upon release, "Nice to See You Again" topped multiple Japanese music charts, including Oricon's Weekly Single Ranking, Weekly Combined Single Ranking, and Billboard Japan's Top Single Sales chart. Its title track also reached No. 1 on the Billboard Japan Hot 100, becoming only the second foreign song to do so this year, after "Apartment" by Rosé and Bruno Mars.
Upcoming First World Tour in Japan
TOURUS will kick off their first world tour, "24/7: WITH:US," on August 9–10 at K-Arena Yokohama, further cementing their growing presence in the Japanese market.
