TWS has added another Gold-certified album to their achievements in Japan.
The Recording Industry Association of Japan (RIAJ) announced on August 8 that TWS's Japanese debut single Nice to See You Again surpassed 100,000 copies sold as of last month, earning the official Gold Disc certification.
Third Gold Disc in Japan
In Japan, the RIAJ awards certifications based on cumulative shipments: Gold (100K), Platinum (250K), Double Platinum (500K), Triple Platinum (750K), and Million (1M). This marks TWS's third Gold certification, following their first single Last Bell and third mini-album TRY WITH US.
Chart-Topping Debut
Upon release, Nice to See You Again swept major Japanese music charts, topping Oricon's Weekly Single Ranking, Weekly Combined Single Ranking, and Billboard Japan's Top Single Sales Chart. The title track also hit No. 1 on the Billboard Japan Hot 100 — becoming only the second international song this year to do so, following Rosé and Bruno Mars's Apartment.
Meanwhile, TWS will hold their first world tour 24/7:WITH:US in Yokohama's K-Arena on August 9–10.
