Fourth member to go solo promises fresh sound and global anticipation
TWICE's Chaeyoung is officially stepping into the solo spotlight.
On August 8, JYP Entertainment unveiled a short-form video on TWICE's official social media channels, revealing behind-the-scenes footage of Chaeyoung hard at work in the studio — and confirming her solo debut.
A New Chapter for Chaeyoung
The video captures Chaeyoung immersed in recording and in creative discussions with Japanese pop band Glico, signaling a unique musical direction for her upcoming release. Her album is set to drop on September 12 at 1 PM (KST).
She becomes the fourth member of TWICE to go solo, following the success of Nayeon, Jihyo, and Tzuyu, all of whom received massive attention for their individual projects.
Building Global Momentum
Chaeyoung recently collaborated with Jeongyeon and Jihyo on the track "Takedown," the OST for Netflix's animated feature K-pop Demon Hunters. The song charted on both Billboard and the UK Official Chart, hinting at her growing international reach.
As a group, TWICE has remained unstoppable. They headlined Lollapalooza Chicago on August 3 and kicked off their 6th world tour "READY TO BE" in Incheon on July 19–20. Their tour will hit cities across Japan, Hong Kong, the Philippines, Singapore, Australia, Taiwan, and Thailand.
With her solo debut just weeks away, all eyes are on Chaeyoung as she embarks on a new journey — one that blends her distinctive artistry with TWICE's signature global flair.
