IVE has transformed into cupids with hidden secrets, revealing a bold twist on their image.

On August 8, Starship Entertainment released the trailer for IVE's 4th mini album IVE SECRET on YouTube, introducing the striking Evil Cupid concept.

Twisting the Cupid Archetype

Abandoning their usual bright and lovely Cupid persona, IVE took on a darker tone—dropping tumblers, crossing their fingers, and pulling a hidden revolver from the "Cupid Guidebook." Chilling scenes ran throughout the video, with the members' daytime smiles symbolizing the covert, unsettling side of Cupid.

Midway, the atmosphere shifted further. The members aimed revolvers at unicorns, burned paper cranes, and performed acts that contrasted sharply with Cupid's pure image.

Lyrics That Blur Good and Evil

Dressed in black and surrounded by darkness, IVE teased a portion of their new track, delivering the line: "Unveiling the veil, a secretive myth / Good and evil coexist right on my face." The album aims to break predictable narratives, revealing concealed attitudes and multifaceted identities. Through the title track XOXZ and other songs, the group will explore how contrasts—outer vs. inner, good vs. evil—can coexist within one team.

IVE SECRET will be released on August 25 at 6 p.m. KST across major music platforms.
