Crystal of the R&B duo As One has bid a heartfelt farewell to her longtime partner Lee Min, who passed away on August 5 at the age of 46. The two debuted together in 1999 as As One and shared over two decades of music and friendship.

A Heartbreaking Farewell to a Musical Soulmate

On August 10, Crystal shared a series of photos and memories on her personal Instagram, commemorating their years together. "The past few days have been the hardest of my life," she wrote. "I lost my singing partner, my best friend, my other half. I am completely shattered. A huge piece of my heart is gone, and the emptiness can never be filled."

Reflecting on their bond, she said, "When people thought of Min, they thought of Crystal. We were always a set. We spent more than half of our lives together—especially the first 15 years, living side by side, eating, breathing, and existing as one."

Remembering Lee Min's Warmth and Spirit

Crystal expressed gratitude to fans and friends for their outpouring of love and support, saying it reminded her she was not alone in her grief. "Min was unconditional love and joy itself," she wrote. "She loved shopping, eating, laughing, sharing, and had so much love to give. She was one of the most beautiful souls I've ever met."

She ended her tribute with a final message: "My half, my friend, my sister, my family, my other half—I will miss you every day, every moment."

Lee Min's Legacy in Music

Lee Min was found deceased at her home on the evening of August 5. Her funeral was held on August 9 at 5:30 a.m., followed by her burial at Peaceful Forest in Seongnam.

As a member of As One, she released numerous hit songs including For You Not to Know, Day by Day, and Want and Resent. Known for her clear, beautiful vocals, she married a Korean man in 2013 and lived in Hawaii before recently returning to Korea to work as both an English instructor and a singer. In June, she released a new single, Happy Birthday, and appeared on KBS 2TV's Park Bo-gum's Cantabile.
