Actress Yeom Hye-ran is returning with a completely different image in the upcoming film "Can't Be Helped," directed by Park Chan-wook.
Yeom plays Ara, the wife of Beom-mo (Lee Sung-min), a character with an artistic spirit and deep emotions. Despite repeated audition failures, Ara never loses her confidence or romantic outlook. Although she grows disappointed with Beom-mo as he withers after losing his job, she still longs for his passionate side.
Her chemistry with Lee Sung-min is a highlight of the film, portraying a realistic married couple that moves between warmth and weariness, adding depth and entertainment to the story.
Speaking about her role, Yeom said, "Ara is a completely new character I've never played before." Director Park Chan-wook expressed his confidence, saying, "I was sure about Yeom Hye-ran from the start. The audience will greatly enjoy watching Beom-mo and Ara together."
"Can't Be Helped" is a crime thriller about an unemployed man who plunges into the fierce battle of re-employment. The film is set to premiere next month.
