Actor Ahn Bo-hyun is set to take on the famous door-knocking challenge in Seoul's Mangwon-dong on JTBC's "Dining Together," airing August 12 at 8:50 p.m. Following previous guests including Yoo Hae-jin, Lee Jun-young, Lee Soo-ji, Lee Kyu-hyung, Lee Jin-wook, and Jung Chae-yeon, Ahn will appear as the next "meal buddy."
Ahn shared that he's no stranger to ringing doorbells — before his debut, he worked as a deliveryman, and even in the film "The Devil Has Moved In," he played a scene involving a doorbell.
Mangwon-dong holds special meaning for Ahn, as he lived there for seven years. Acting as an unofficial ambassador for the neighborhood, he revisits his favorite local spots, from go-to eateries along Mangridan-gil to the must-visit Mangwon Market, sharing personal memories along the way.
This week's episode comes with added pressure: the show has failed to secure a meal for two consecutive weeks. To turn the tide, the team splits into two groups in search of residents willing to share a meal. Joining the challenge is chef Park Eun-young, known from Netflix's "Chef's Battle: Culinary Class War," who teams up with Tak Jae-hoon for the mission.
The production team teased, "For the first time, the cast will split into separate teams for the challenge. With the warm welcome of Mangwon-dong residents, we'll see if they can finally succeed in securing a meal."
